Major League Soccer has an exclusive deal with Adidas. MLS and adidas began their relationship at the League’s inception in 1996. Most leagues around the world allow clubs to choose their kit supplier but Major League Soccer likes to do things differently. Prior to the Adidas deal, teams had uniforms that varied from Nike to Kappa. While some may lament the lack of unique designs in current uniforms others appreciate the consistency of uniforms across the league. At the end of the day, it is all subjective. Whether you like it or not; it is.Â
This got me thinking. What if the entire league in a landmark deal swapped entirely over to Nike. The following was a thought exercise in how this might look. Everything you see on this page is a concept; it’s not real. Please leave a comment if you liked or disliked this post.Â
