The Colorado Rapids and LA Galaxy played a 3-game series from Oct. 26, 2024 until Nov. 1, 2024. The Galaxy won game 1 with a score of 5 to 0. The Rapids had a mountain to climb in the 2nd game. Gabriel Pec scored in the 8th minute from a blocked goalkeeper clearance into the Rapids net. Oliver Larraz would score in the 19th minute to tie the score before Joseph Paintsil took the lead for the Galaxy going into the halftime break. The second half would see no scoring until stoppage time with Riqui Puig scoring in the 91st and 93rd minute to put the LA Galaxy into the next round. The Galaxy would go on to win MLS Cup 2024.Â
