Below are photos and videos taken by Jordan Collins at the Major League Soccer games between the Colorado Rapids and Real Salt Lake. This game has been dubbed the Rocky Mountain Cup.
The cup is given out by a Committee of 10, a group of fans from each team who run the competition, to the team with the most points in games played between each team. The cup was started in 2005, the first year of play for Real Salt Lake. This rivalry is a large part of fandom for each team as they are closest rivals.
Real Salt Lake and the Colorado Rapids have met 62 times with Real Salt Lake winning 30 meetings, the teams tying 13 times and Colorado winning 19 times. The largest victory in the Rocky Mountain Cup was a 6-0 Real Salt Lake win on August 25, 2018.
