Chris Armas has been selected for the National Soccer Hall of Fame via the veteran ballot. Armas played for 12 years in the MLS winning an MLS Cup in 1998, a Supporters’ Shield in 2003 and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup an impressive four times. As a defensive midfielder, Armas played for the LA Galaxy and Chicago Fire. Armas is only one of five players to have been named to the MLS Best 11 five times.

Chris Armas transitioned from playing to coaching in 2008 starting as an assistant for the Chicago Fire FC. In November of 2023, he was appointed head coach of the Colorado Rapids. Below are photos taken by Jordan Collins for Club Eleven Magazine during his tenure in Colorado.
